Amos Banda is a highly accomplished Mechanical and Renewable Energy Engineer with over 15 years of experience in engineering research and development, project management, and strategic planning. A Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (FEIZ), he has established a significant niche in the Zambian energy sector, particularly through his work with the Technology Production and Innovation Center (TPIC) formerly Technology Development and Advisory Unit (TDAU).

Amos is recognized for leading pioneering, all-Zambian technical teams, including the successful conduct of a national wind power resource assessment and the installation of cutting-edge solar weather stations. His leadership extends to national policy and governance, where he currently serves as the Chairperson of the Technology Business Development Fund at the National Technology Business Centre (NTBC).

His academic background includes a Master of Engineering in Renewable Energy Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Zambia. Throughout his career, which includes tenures at the Zambia Bureau of Standards and various technical working groups for the Ministry of Agriculture, he has remained dedicated to meticulous project implementation and the advancement of sustainable energy solutions in Zambia.
